Runnin' with the Devil and Episode 7

3/11/10 12:42 PM

Sorry for the tardiness of this entry. Midterms can be such a pain… So, let’s jump right into it.   Episode 7 – Dr. Linus (Original Airdate: March 9, 2010) This was one of the better episodes of the season in my opinion. I guess because it focused on Ben, who is an awesome character. We were introduced to 2004’ Ben in “The Substitute” as the nerdy history teacher at the school Locke is assigned to by Rose and the temp agency. However, Ben isn’t as nerdy as he appears and still has some of this conniving ways in him. At the high school in 2004’, Ben is a history teacher and head of the school’s history club. The Darkness and Episode 6

3/3/10 2:07 PM

Well, action definitely wasn’t a shortcoming in last night’s episode, “Sundown.” An Iraqi war interrogator and (basically) a samurai duel it out. If the pattern were to keep going, last night’s episode should’ve matched up with season 1’s “House of the Rising Sun” which featured Sun and Jin. However, as you know, last night episode centered around Sayid and what is going on with him in the two timelines. The title of the episode made it seem like they were going to follow the pattern – with...

"Anti-parallelism" and Episode 5

I don’t know what it was, but last night’s episode of LOST seemed a bit bland to me. While it did shed some light on a few more questions asked in previous seasons, I still thought the episode overall was only OK. This could possibly be because I find Jack’s character annoying now and since the episode centered on him, this could be the reason of my disdain. However, last night’s episode did follow the “anti-paralleling” of the first season of LOST. I touched on this a little bit on yesterday’s entry, but I didn’t fully explain what I mean by anti-parallel. So far, season 6 has matched perfectly with season 1 on which characters are featured each episode. However,...

Episodes 1-4 Recap

February 2, 2010 was a great day for the millions of LOST fans around the world. That, of course, was the date the final season of LOST premiered. With so many questions to be answered, there will be a lot of hopeful eyes watching every Tuesday night to see what happens to the survivors of Oceanic 815. If you’re reading this blog, it’s more than likely you fall into this LOST enthusiast category to whom I am writing this blog for. It took a few weeks to get the gears moving, but I am excited to bring you my very own LOST blog here on The Daily Reveille’s website. My name is Adam Arinder, and I decided to start this blog as a weekly recap for each episode, as well as a spot to discuss ideas about the show. After all the amazing feedback I got from my LOST column a few...
