LSU running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and linebacker Jared Small traveled with the team and are cleared to play when the Tigers face the UCF in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl, LSU coach Ed Orgeron said in a news conference.
Edwards-Helaire and Small were involved in a Scotlandville shooting on Dec. 22 after attempting to sell an electronic to Kobe Johnson, 18. Johnson pulled out a weapon and was then shot multiple times by one of the players.

"It's a legal matter that's been taken care of," Orgeron said. "Clyde [Edwards-Helaire] and Jared [Small] are two of the best young men on our football team. We believe in Clyde and Jared, and we're supporting them. Clyde and Jared have received counseling. They've practiced. They seem to be okay."
Edwards-Helaire has played in all 12 of LSU's games this season, totaling 626 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. Small has appeared in four games.
