Football: Peterson named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week - 11:41 a.m.

LSU junior cornerback Patrick Peterson earned Southeastern Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honors Monday.

Peterson set an LSU record with 257 yards in return yardage in LSU's 30-24 victory against North Carolina on Saturday, including an 87-yard punt return for a touchdown that put LSU ahead 23-10 in the second quarter. He finished with 157 punt return yards and 100 kickoff return yards.

LSU travels to Vanderbilt for its first SEC contest of the season this Saturday at 6 p.m.
