The Los Angeles Dodgers finally came calling for LSU freshman quarterback Zach Lee.

Lee was absent from LSU's practice on Monday afternoon due to his on-going flirtation with professional baseball.

The McKinney, Texas, native was the first round draft pick of the Dodgers in the 2010 MLB Draft. He was selected No. 28 overall.

LSU coach Les Miles said he is unsure of any details of Lee's situation.

"I don't know of any offer on the table," Miles said. "The only thing I can tell you is that there is an expected communications between them and Zach's family. I expect I'll hear more later on today."

LSU junior running back Stevan Ridley said he understands the magnitude of Lee's decision and supports him no matter what the outcome.

"He's got the opportunity of a lifetime," Ridley said. "I'd love to have him here, but that's some big money being thrown his way and I wish the best for him."

Lee's deadline to decide is 11 p.m. central time Monday night.

PORTER OFFICIALLY TRANSFERS

Former LSU freshman Elliot Porter officially transferred to Kentucky on Monday.

Porter, originally a member of LSU's 2010 recruiting class, was asked to greyshirt after LSU surpassed the maximum number of signees allowed by the NCAA.

LONERGAN NICKED UP

LSU sophomore center P.J. Lonergan was nicked up in Monday's practice.

Miles said the injury was very minor and Lonergan should be active for Tuesday's practice.
