LSU community mourns death of University student - 5/24, 4:16 p.m.

The University community mourned the death of Brian McCrory Doherty this week.

Doherty, a 21-year-old junior and Baton Rouge native, died May 16 in New Roads in a boating accident on the False River.

Doherty's friends, Chris Austin and Sterling Forbes, also died in the accident.

Students can call counselors Margarey Humphris or Phyllis Lefeaux at 578-8774 to set up an appointment for grief counseling at the Student Health Center.
