Students celebrate first birthday in four years

It's not every day that college students celebrate their fifth birthday, but Amy Vitrano, mass communication sophomore, has been waiting for this day to arrive for four years. Vitrano is one of about 200,000 people in the United States with a Feb. 29 birthday.

Forever LSU audit specifics unknown

A Feb. 27 update concerning the ongoing internal audit of the Forever LSU fundraising campaign showed the confusion of an LSU Foundation official about the purpose of the audit, according to the Baton Rouge Business Report. Monday to take over on Monday

Eric Monday, associate vice chancellor for the Office of Finance and Administrative Services, will assume the position of interim vice chancellor for Student Life and Academic Services on March 3, filling the position left by Neil Mathews. Acting Chancellor William Jenkins said Mathew's relinquishing of the position was a joint decision between Mathews and University officials.

University receives $4.75M donation

The University received a $4.75 million donation Thursday from Chevron Corp. The donation is the largest one-time donation from a corporation in LSU Foundation's history. "It's a moment of great pride for me personally because we are celebrating an extraordinary accomplishment and an extraordinary gift from an extraordinary corporation," said Acting Chancellor William Jenkins.
