The Baton Rouge Police Department released an incident report Thursday regarding the Shady's Bar altercation last Friday, confirming senior quarterback Jordan Jefferson and sophomore linebacker Josh Johns' involvement.

According to the report, Andrew Lowery, 21, advised officials that several suspects he believed to be LSU football players pulled a man out of a truck and beat him.

Lowery said he intervened and managed to pull the man away from the crowd.

Lowery said he was then punched and kicked several times by the crowd, and he believed Jefferson and Johns were among the attackers.

"Lowery's face was swollen and had several bruises," the report stated. "Lowery also had blood on his shirt."

However, two Shady's Bar employees told the Associated Press their versions of the fight, which differ from the police report.

Shady's Bar general manager John Peak and door manager Jordan Neldare said they saw Lowery throw the first punch in the brawl.

"That's one thing we do know," Peak told the AP.

Both bar employees also told the AP that Lowery was asked to leave the bar at 1:30 a.m. after he appeared to be harassing a woman. Contrary to the incident report, Neldare said Lowery was already involved in the fight before the truck pulled up, minutes after Lowery left the bar.

An unnamed witness who claimed to have observed the entire altercation told BRPD she "for certain" observed Jefferson kick Lowery in the face, according to the police report.

Neldare said he saw Jefferson at one point "standing by himself and looking upset while the fight was still taking place."

The unnamed witness advised officials that approximately 10 suspects attacked the driver of the car and re-affirmed Johns' involvement as well.

She said approximately five more suspects joined the attack on Lowery. She said she believed they were all football players because she recognized some from the team and others donned official LSU football shirts.

Lowery and the female witness were the only two interviewed in the police report.

The Daily Reveille obtained a copy of a restraining order filed by Lowery's ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth Siadous.

The Advocate reported Siadous claimed Lowery had cornered her at a bar earlier on the night of the altercation, yelled at her and hit her friend.

The restraining order states Lowery must remain at least 100 yards from Siadous, and can not abuse, stalk, follow, threaten or contact her. It was filed Aug. 24 and remains in effect until a court date set for Sept. 21.

BRPD spokesman Sgt. Don Stone also dispelled rumors that surfaced Thursday saying Jefferson was being arrested.

"Jefferson has not been arrested," Stone said. "There's no warrant for an arrest."

This comes a day after police searched Jefferson's off-campus apartment, seizing 49 pairs of shoes.

This hoopla comes with the No. 4 Tigers set to take on No. 3 Oregon at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in just more than a week.

"Through time, I think you'll find that this thing will play out effectively," Miles said. "It's really the same group of men that work hard and want to represent LSU extremely well and that are facing some issues that are not described at the start of every season. I think you'll find that these guys will handle that. It will be a piece of time that will mark them and make them stronger. I would expect that we'll have leadership here that will understand some very specific lessons that were learned."

All you negative people who commented, have you ever heard of not guilty until proven otherwise.... 49 pair of shoes- so what I have over 100. Dang the boy has parents just like some of you. If that had happened to Jarred none of this garbage would even be happening..

why does it matter how many pairs of shoes a man owns? so black/african-american people cant have parents who have great jobs to purchase shoes and nice clothes for us? smh at some idiots. get off his back. not everyone is crooked! personally, people need to mind their own business. if it had nothing to do with you personally, let it go. the media blows everything up beyond belief and days, weeks, or months later they need to correct their report or new evidence "just surfaced". bull!

I just cant get over the fact that a mob of LSU footplayers was in the parking lot and yet two dudes somehow start a fight with the mob and then wind up pratcially beaten to death. Self defense is gonna be a tough sell.

Who said anything about PTSD? The Marine just graduated basic training (no combat involved). Sounds like your looking for an excuse. "The Marines should fire this guy"......really. Would you walk into an out numbered situation to help a friend out.....Marines are doing this everyday with live fire, IEDs, and only God knows what else. Can't believe I wasted my time to post this to the two of you, but someone needed too!

I just wonder how much business "Shady's" gets from the LSU team and followers?
There is NO WAY that any story by the bouncer or bar-tender is credible in this instance because I would think "Shady's" business would be destroyed if they took the side of the marine...........I put my money on the woman witness.

First article I've seen mention anything about Lowrey's credibility. While I don't approve of hitting anyone, much less a female, it shouldn't overlooked that PTSD could have played a factor in this Marine's violent history. This isn't an excuse, but it will be interesting to see how this portion of the story plays out for sure.

anyone here ever met jordan personally? he's just not that type of person and anyone that knows him would say the same thing. If anything, wrong place, wrong time. I say its still Jeffersons team.

49 pairs of shoes???? Sounds like there could be some more infractions to follow. How many college kids have 49 pairs of shoes?

This doesn't exonerate JJ but it certainly calls into question the credibility of Lowery. I don't know how you can trust any of the witness accounts, considering many were likely alcohol impaired. I wonder if they tested any for such. I say trust the most independent and unimpaired witnesses, which at this point appears to be the bar employees.

why isn't anyone looking into defense attorney Nathan Fisher's "SHADY" relationship to LSU over the past decades? here are a few hints to get you started -- Perrilloux, Pittman, Odom, T-Bob Hebert, Lester Earl, etc.

Congrats Andrew Lowery you're famous for being a woman beater and a ...... The marines should fire this guy. I wouldn't want this caliber of person watching my back in wartime. You start a fight and sue, what a man. I'm sure there will be plenty of people lining up to give this guy a job after college.

Why on earth would you name an ex-girlfriend? Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Funny how the police issued a report without statements from actual 3rd party witnesses - the bar employees - which they said they couldn't find (3rd party witnesses). The employees' statements seem to have been disregarded and all we heard for days was one side of the story. Apparently, this Marine has a violent streak and like to stalk and hit women. Maybe his recruiter should remove him from a uniform that should be proudly worn. Lowery showed himself to be a liar - guess he didn't stop to think there might be video inside the bar or employees outside to witness that the fight had already started when the truck "pulled up sharply" and announced he had a gun. The Marine was looking for a fight after he was escorted out of the bar and you can usually find one if you're looking for one.
