NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A Baton Rouge man has been arrested on a charge he assaulted an ex-wife of former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards during a domestic dispute.

Brian Low, 34, allegedly grabbed Candace “Candy” Edwards, 45, by her neck, punched her in the face and broke one of her teeth after she arrived at his Baton Rouge home to pick up their child on Sunday.

Low was booked on a second-degree battery charge, said Casey Rayborn Hicks, a spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s office.
