THIBODAUX (AP) — Nicholls State says it does more than educate Louisiana residents, it's also a big contributor to the state's work force. According to data compiled and released by Nicholls on Tuesday, an overwhelming number of Nicholls graduates remain in Louisiana. Of the 9,260 students who graduated between 1998 and 2008, a total of 8,294 have stayed in the Pelican State.
