Rep. Weiner resigned after boxer photo appeared on Twitter

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner was caught with his pants down — literally — when a photo of him clad in boxer briefs appeared on his Twitter in May.

The congressman initially denied that the photo was of him, claiming his account had been hacked.

Reports soon surfaced that Weiner had been engaged in relationships with several women over the Internet for months and the leaked photo was just one of many he'd been sending to them.

Shortly after, Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, announced she was pregnant and Weiner requested a leave of absence from Congress to receive professional treatment.

After enduring pressure to step down from party leaders and peers, Weiner resigned in June, 20 days after the photo was initially leaked.

Former New Jersey governor cheated on wife with his male advisor

New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey resigned and separated from his wife in 2004 after an affair came to light, but it wasn't with another woman. McGreevey had a sexual relationship with his male homeland security advisor, Golan Cipel, prompting McGreevey's public admission that, "My truth is that I am a gay American."

McGreevey's wife, Dina Matos, said she would never have married McGreevey had she known he was gay.

A former male aide to McGreevey claimed he engaged in numerous threesomes with McGreevey and his wife, which McGreevey later confirmed to the Associated Press.

Clinton impeached in 1998 after having affair with an intern

Former President Bill Clinton was impeached in 1998 after an extramartial affair with the 22-year-old White House intern was exposed.

The relationship, which was said to have started in 1995, dominated headlines and primetime television for months after the initial reports surfaced. Throughout this time, rumors and lies circulated regarding the affair.

Clinton repeatedly denied the scandal and coined the famous line: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

Teacher jailed for having sexual relationship with student

Being hot for teacher led to an arrest and national scandal in 1997 when Mary Kay Letourneau, then 35, began a sexual relationship with 13-year-old student Vili Fualaau, who she first met as a second grader.

After Letourneau's husband reported the relationship to police, Letourneau pled guilty to child rape and spent time in jail. But just weeks after her release, police found Letourneau having sex with Fualaau in her car. She was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison.

She's now married to her former student, with whom she has two children, and she goes by the name Mary Kay Fualaau.

Actress confessed to having 10-year sexual relationship with father

The world collectively cringed in 2009 when actress and singer Mackenzie Phillips confessed she had been involved in a 10-year sexual relationship with her father, John Phillips, leader of 1960s band The Mamas & The Papas.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Mackenzie Phillips said that on the night before her first wedding, when she was 19, "I woke up … from a blackout to find myself having sex with my own father."

Phillips said she ended the relationship after she got pregnant and didn't know who fathered the baby.

Her father paid for her abortion, and she said after that she never let her father touch her again.
