The No. 14 LSU softball team dismantled South Carolina in six innings, 9-0, in game two of the Saturday series.

Sophomore Brittany Mack delivered another brilliant Tiger pitching performance, tossing a complete game one-hitter.

Seniors right fielder Rachel Mitchell and center fielder Kirsten Shortridge delivered three RBIs a piece and combined for five hits.

Sophomore catcher Morgan Russell went 3-for-3 with three singles and one RBI.

The Gamecocks (9-13, 0-4) committed three errors, and the Tigers (20-4, 2-0) made them pay with three multi-run innings. All four South Carolina pitchers gave up at least two runs.

LSU took the first game of the series, 5-0, as senior pitcher Cody Trahan (6-0) blanked South Carolina while striking out eight.

LSU outscored the Gamecocks, 14-0, in the two Saturday games. The finale of the three-game series starts Sunday.
