Treasurer Candidate
Ticket: StudentsFIRST

1. How will you change the daily life of students in your college if elected?
If elected, I will work to get BASC students more involved with their college. I will accomplish this by better communicating with BASC students about: upcoming science or medical club meetings, Guest Speaker events, and job opportunities in Baton Rouge that are related to Science and Medicine.

2. What is the most important issue facing students on campus?
The most important issue facing students on campus is the potential increase in budget cuts. This could result in larger classes, decreased availability in scheduling, and LSU could lose its top tier academic status. One of the Students First goals is to get students more involved in advocating against budget cuts to make sure LSU's academic excellence does not decline.

3. Where do you see the University in five years?
Where LSU is in five year largely depends on us students. If we become more involved with the budget crisis LSU faces, and help prevent further cuts then I see LSU thriving as it always has as a top tier academic college and a national competitor across the board.

4. What will you change from the past administration?
The main aspect I would to change with last years BASC college council is the level of communication between the council and BASC students. Students should be better informed about the BASC website, more scientific events should be coordinated, and the BASC college council should generally make being a BASC student easier and more enjoyable.

5. Why are you qualified for the position you're running for?
I have served as a Judicial Aide in the Judicial Branch of Student Government for the past year so I am familiar with what is expected as a representative in SG. Also, I am a Junior in the college of BASC striving to get into Medical School so I know the hard work it takes to get there and I know how to help make it easier for BASC students who have similar goals.
