Treasurer Candidate
Ticket: Leading the Way
Major: Mass Communication
Year: Junior

1. How will you change the daily life of students in your college if elected?
I want to ensure that Manship students are able to take full advantage of everything our school has to offer them. If elected, we want to create a complementary majors/minors guide for students. For example, if students want to do International PR, we can show the courses available to them in all colleges at LSU that can stregthen their transcript and are most relevant to their career path. We also want to work with Dr. Dahmen to strengthen MC 2015 by having more on-hands practice with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver. This will help to make our fellow peers more prepared for real-world situations.

2. What is the most important issue facing students on campus?
I believe the most important issue facing students right now is budget cuts. many students are worried that class sizes will get bigger, programs will be cut, and they won't be getting the best education possible.

3. Where do you see the University in five years?
In five years, I think we will have overcome the current recession we are in and will start to see our Forever LSU plans put into work. I see LSU getting stronger, bigger, more well-rounded, and still being the Flagship institution of Louisiana.

4. What will you change from the past administration?
The past mass comm college council had some great initiatives but didn't get the chance to put them all into action. If elected, the mass comm "dream team" (candidates on Leading the Way for MC) will pick up where they left off while also implementing some new initiatives. I am a student in the Manship college and want nothing for the best for this school, so I will dedicate myself to making sure Manship students have the most well-rounded experience while at LSU.

5. Why are you qualified for the position you're running for?
I am qualified to run for Mass Comm College Council because I have been in the Manship school for 5 semesters: I know the teachers, I know the classes, and I know what Manship students want. I am involved in a number of Manship organizations including PRSSA, PRestige, and the Bateman Team. I have the leadership skills and dedication necessary to make our school the best it can be.
