The LSU football team has moved up one spot in the latest BCS standings from No. 9 to No. 8 despite losing to Alabama, 24-15, on Saturday.

LSU remained No. 9 in the Associated Press Top 25 but fell two spots in the USA Today Coaches Top 25 poll from No. 9 to No. 11.

Florida kept the top spot in the BCS standings, while Alabama regained the No. 2 spot over now-No. 3 Texas. The Longhorns were No. 2 in last week's standings.

Florida, Alabama and LSU are the only Southeastern Conference teams in the BCS standings. TCU, Cincinnati, Boise State, Georgia Tech, Southern California and Iowa round out the BCS top 10.
