I am extremely proud of my school for defending the flag of our country. Those of us that went on from LSU and wore the uniform of our country salute you for standing up and being heard. This fool felt he needed to be heard. He has a right to speak, but others have the right to express their revulsion to what he says. Try to burn my flag though and be ready for the consequences.

I am so proud of Cody Wells and all l,000 of the LSU student body. It is finally time for young people to show outrage when some liberal kook shows disrespect to our country's flag. We've let anti-americans get away with bashing our country long enough. Spread the word to other Univ's throughout America. Stand up for country and flag and above all for our Vet's who protect our freedom. Yes, even the freedom of Mr. Haas. Taking back America. Way to go LSU!!!!!!!!!!! LSU Mom

Wells...you may follow the way of the chancellor after his comments about "civil discourse," straight out of office. Condoning the hateful actions of the full mob of students is a sure sign that you do not belong in office.

The "mob" has the right to express their rights freely as does the flag burner.
The flag burner supporters are just mad that the opposition to the anti American flag burner is a couple thousand to one.
You see , the American youth have woken up from a long slumber to the devastating effects of liberalism.

I'm so proud of the Lsu students that demonstrated against Haas. I'm more certain than ever that we made the correct choice of LSU for our daughter's education!

A large mob shouting down someone and preventing them from expressing their rights freely IS impinging on their rights. The videos show that this was a mob, no matter if you agree with him or not. The counter-protest infringed when the water and drinks started flying, and the police were forced to escort him away.

A counter demonstration isn't infringing on their rights. Just because Benjamin Haas was there with only a tiny handful of supporters and he was easily drowned out by the counter-demonstration does not mean his rights were infringed.

He chose to make a public statement and invite the public to the event. All I saw was an angry crowd show up to the event he invited everyone to freely. They exercised their rights to drown out his speech.
