Women's Basketball: Hightower taken by Sun in second round of WNBA Draft - 3:50 p.m.

Former Lady Tiger picked No. 15 overall

LSU senior guard Allison Hightower was drafted No. 15 overall by the Connecticut Sun in the second round of the 2010 WNBA Draft.

Hightower averaged 18.5 points and per game in the 2009-10 season on her way to All-Southeastern Conference First Team honors.

The Sun finished 16-18 last season to place second to last in the WNBA's Eastern Conference. The Sun also had the No. 1 pick in the draft and selected Connecticut center Tina Charles with that pick.
