At 812 AM CDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Woodville to near New Roads. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail are possible with these storms. Locations impacted include... Zachary, Baker, New Roads, Jackson, St. Francisville, Clinton, Liberty, Centreville, Woodville, Slaughter, Wilson, Norwood, Wakefield, Spillman, Darlington, Pride and Felps. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

In southern Mississippi, Amite, Hancock, Pearl River, Pike, Walthall and Wilkinson. * Through Thursday morning * Additional rainfall totals through Friday night are expected to be 3 to 5 inches with isolated higher amounts possible. Soils are saturated and the addition of these rainfall totals would cause runoff accumulation leading to flooding of low lying and poorly drained areas. * Flooding of low lying and flood prone areas is possible with localized flash flooding.
