We are living in strange times. The abrupt stop to our normal routine will take some time to get used to, but we don't have to do it in complete silence. There are some unique YouTube channels to look into for your musical needs.

These channels will show the art of music making, and the discovery of new music. These are great sources to use if you want to create a new Spotify playlist or just want to bring some music into your social distancing blues.

Here are 5 YouTube channels to check out for those long days:

1. Kenny Beats' The Cave

Kenny Beats is one of my favorite producers. He has produced songs with Rico Nasty, Dominic Fike, Ski Mask the Slump God, DaBaby and many more. Kenny Beats invites artists to his studio, and they make a video of the production process. We see Kenny Beats doing what he does best, and we see the personalities of the different people he invites.

There are artists such as Doja Cat, Denzel Curry, Rico Nasty, Joji, Thundercat, Slowthai and many more who are on the show. There are two seasons worth of watching.

But, my personal favorite video has to be with Zack Fox. It will truly make your day.

2. Marc Rebillet

Marc Rebillet is another musician, but his approach is very different from others. Rebillet performs at different places with no set list. He just creates songs on the spot, and they're funny and groovy. He posts his concerts on his channel, and the energy that he brings to a crowd is amazing. He is also known to wear only a robe and underwear at these performances.

Ribllet has recently done live streams during quarantine, and they're also enjoyable to watch. Rebillet would take recommendations from callers about a random topic, and he will make a song about it.

The head-twirling master of beats is such a joy to watch, and it is also great music to listen to.

3. My Analog Journal: Coffee Break Sessions

Zag Erlat gives off good vibes with his amazing vinyl collection. Erlat brings audiences into the world of international music. He plays music from Italy, Japan, Brazil, Russia, Africa and many more. His collection consists of jazz, funk and pop from different decades.

It's a great way to discover music outside of America and indulge the beauty of music from around the world. Discovering new music is always a joy of mine, and this YouTube channel brings a lot of joy. It's a channel that you can put on in the background and chill out for an hour or two.

4. Boiler Room's DJ Sets

Why wait to party? You can bring the party to your bedroom with Boiler Room's DJ sets. It's a great way to see your favorite DJs in their element. You will feel like you're in the crowd when watching these videos. It's a great atmosphere to want to be a part of.

Their videos include DJs such as Yaeji, Kenny Beats and Kaytranada. There are a lot of DJs to discover on this channel if you're in the party mood. Partying by yourself isn't that bad.

5. NPR's Tiny Desk Concert

Tiny Desk Concerts are a great way to listen to acoustic versions from your favorite artists. We see the raw talent of artists and how well they work in a non-studio atmosphere. NPR invites a wide range of artists, and it's always fun to watch.

Artists such as Tyler, The Creator, Mac Miller, Lizzo, Anderson .Paak, T-Pain, Adele and Rex Orange County have been on this channel. There are also many artists to discover.
