What is your major and year?
I'm a Creative Writing major in my last semester here at LSU.
Where are you from?
What positions have you held in the past at The Reveille?
I was a columnist during the spring and summer of 2020 and I've been the Opinion Editor since last August.
Why did you join The Reveille? Why Opinion?
I joined The Reveille because I wanted to do something that felt important to me — it's as simple as that. Opinion was the obvious choice because it combined two of my passions: talking about myself and reading Facebook comments from people who disagree with me.
What does The Reveille mean to you?
This job is all about starting meaningful and productive conversations in a community I care about. Student journalists speak for the future; being able to be a part of that — to work on the ground floor every day — is an incredible privilege.
If you had one piece of advice for a new student, what would it be?
Go get 'em, Tiger. (Seriously, though: enjoy your time on campus while it lasts. Get involved in your community!)
What's your favorite story that you've written so far?
What do you hope to do after graduation?
Bake bread in the French countryside.
