Classical Corner 3/6/21

This week I sought out to my favorite composer for inspiration, Tchaikovsky.  The pieces for this week include Tchaikovsky through personal relations or musical inspiration. These are the Russian romantic giants all dedicating these works to one another.

Moritz Moszkowski, Piano concerto in E, Op. 59

Rachmaninov, Piano concerto no 2, Mvt 2, performed by the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Boris Khaikin conductor, and Arnold Kaplan on piano.

Brahms, 8 Piano Pieces, Op. 76, No. 1 Capriccio in F# minor, No. 2 Capriccio, No. 8 Capriccio in C major, performed by Peter Longworth.
