    * At 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 38.6 feet.
    * Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
    * Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
    * Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Wednesday, April 21 and continue falling to 16.2 feet Tuesday, May
    11.
    * Impact...At 38.0 feet, River traffic and industrial activity on
    the river side of the levees will be greatly affected.

    the Amite River At Bayou Manchac Point.
    * Until further notice.
    * At 5:22 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 9.1 feet.
    * Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
    * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
    * Forecast...The river will rise to 10.0 feet just after midnight
    tonight. It will then fall to 9.4 feet and begin rising again
    tomorrow evening. It will rise to 11.0 feet early Saturday
    morning. It will then fall again but remain above flood stage.
    * Impact...At 10.0 feet, Amite River Road and Horseshoe Drive will
    be impassable. A few homes on Horseshoe Drive will flood. Water
    will be approaching Kendalwood Road and access to property will be

    * portions of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi,
    including the following areas, in southeast Louisiana,
    Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana,
    Eastern Orleans, Iberville, Livingston, Lower Jefferson, Lower
    Lafourche, Lower Plaquemines, Lower St. Bernard, Lower
    Terrebonne, Northern Tangipahoa, Northwest St. Tammany, Pointe
    Coupee, Southeast St. Tammany, Southern Tangipahoa, St.
    Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John The Baptist, Upper
    Jefferson, Upper Lafourche, Upper Plaquemines, Upper St.
    Bernard, Upper Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge, West
    Feliciana, and Western Orleans. In southern Mississippi,
    Amite, Hancock, Pearl River, Pike, Walthall, and Wilkinson.

    * Rainfall totals through Thursday morning are expected to be 3 to
    6 inches with isolated higher amounts possible. Soils are
    either saturation or near saturation and the addition of these
    rainfall totals would cause runoff accumulation leading to
    flooding of low lying and poorly drained areas.
    
    * Flooding of low lying and flood prone areas is possible with
    localized flash flooding.

    Do not enter or cross flowing water or water of unknown depth.
