This week, both the SEC schedule and fall schedule for the LSU softball season were announced.

The Southeastern Conference released the 24-game schedule for the 2022 softball season on Thursday. For the Tigers, conference play will open up at home against Alabama on Friday, Mar. 11. This matchup is one of four series to be played at Tiger Park. The Tigers will face Kentucky, South Carolina, and Florida throughout the month of April.

After the home opener against the Crimson Tide, LSU will take a week break before following with their first road series of the season in Fayetteville, Ark. against the Razorbacks. The away schedule also includes a set of series against Texas A&M and Georgia.

Although subject to change, LSU will play four home series and four away, alternating Baton Rouge and the opponent’s location between each series. Some of these series may possibly adjust their schedules to end on Mondays.

From April 29-May 1, the Tigers will wrap up home play in a series against Florida. The team will then conclude the season on the road in Starkville, Mississippi. Their final matchup will occur May 6-8 against Mississippi State.

The Tigers will turn around just two days later to begin competition at the SEC Tournament in Gainesville, Fla. This year, the Florida Gators will host the tournament at the Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
