LSU Defeats Clemson

LSU sophomore nose tackle Tyler Shelvin tackles an opposing player on the field on Monday, January 13, 2020 during LSU's 42-25 win against Clemson in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The Tigers receive news of another key loss to their program as defensive tackle Tyler Shelvin informed the staff of his decision to not participate in the 2020 season.

Shelvin's reasoning for opting out is believed to be related to the 2021 NFL Draft. The redshirt sophomore has been projected by many NFL analysts to be a first-round draft pick.

Other players who have decided to opt out include Kary Vincent Jr., Neil Ferrell Jr. and Ja'Marr Chase.
